This creates a back eddy effect, concentrating plankton and attracting a myriad of Manta rays. The spectacle is awe-inspiring, especially when whale sharks join the feeding frenzy, amplifying the bay’s natural marvel.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is your next step into the exciting world of scuba diving. Unlike traditional classroom courses, this program is designed to be fun and engaging. It doesn’t involve quizzes or exams; instead, it focuses on gaining practical experience and expanding your underwater skills. Under the guidance of certified instructors, you’ll complete five adventure dives, including a deep dive training to 30 meters and a navigation dive. Additionally, you have the opportunity to choose and try one dive from specialty options like Nitrox, night diving, or wreck diving.
The Advanced Open Water certification not only broadens your diving horizons but also enhances your skills, making you a more skilled and knowledgeable diver.
Scuba Diver Certification provides a convenient gateway to the world of scuba diving, tailored for individuals with time constraints.
Led by certified instructors, you’ll gain dive theory knowledge, practice essential skills in shallow waters, and complete two supervised dives up to 12 meters deep.
Although less extensive than the Open Water Diver course, this certification allows diving under supervision and offers the option to upgrade to a full open water course, providing additional skill training and dives for future holidays.
The Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course is a specialized certification that opens up new possibilities in scuba diving. This course teaches you how to dive with enriched air nitrox, which contains a higher oxygen content than regular air.
Enriched air allows for longer no-decompression dive times, providing more opportunities to explore underwater wonders.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to analyze, plan, and execute nitrox dives safely. You will also discover the benefits of diving with Enriched Air Nitrox, while utilizing a complete air profile to ensure safer dives.

From December to early May, the currents bring crystal-clear waters to Baa Atoll, providing exceptional visibility often exceeding 30 meters. As the seasons change from late May onwards, nutrient-rich plankton flows into the atoll, attracting hundreds of majestic manta rays. This migration culminates at the famed Hanifaru Bay, one of the world’s most renowned sites for manta ray aggregation. During this period, the atoll also welcomes the arrival of the gentle giant, the whale shark.
Diving and snorkeling in Baa Atoll is a distinctive experience, ideal for videographers and photographers seeking to capture the vibrant marine life and the emergence of magical underwater scenes. The unparalleled beauty of the underwater world here makes Baa Atoll a top destination for those in search of extraordinary marine adventures.
Protected Marine Area: Horubadhoo Thila, also known as Dhigali Haa, holds significant importance as one of the first marine areas protected by the Environmental Protection Agency of the Maldives, primarily due to its remarkable biodiversity. The site boasts abundant and healthy coral growth, enhancing the underwater scenery and providing habitat for numerous marine species. Green Turtles are often observed at this beautiful dive site, and the fish life is abundant. Additionally, friendly batfish are known to accompany divers, adding to the allure of the underwater experience.During the season, manta rays are often sighted at this dive site, either grooming or gracefully passing by. Features of the site include overhangs and coral outcrops at deeper depths.The dive site is suitable for Open water divers and above.
Dhonfan Thila, a is an all time favorite dive site, The site is suitable for advanced divers due to its depth and topography. Spanning approximately 80 meters in diameter, the site features a peak rising to 8 to 10 meters, surrounded by sharp drop-offs to depths of 30 meters. Divers can expect excellent coral growth and encounters with a diverse range of marine life, including giant trevallies, schools of jack fish, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and Dog Tooth tuna. Nitrox is recommended for extended bottom time and enhanced safety during dives at this captivating underwater destination.
Nelivaru Haa captivating underwater landscape and diverse marine life. This relatively small site, resembling a small mountain, features peaks reaching up to 16 meters and a bottom depth exceeding 30 meters, with white sand dunes and a large coral block formation creating a canyon-like feature adorned with large-sized Gorgonian fan corals.Nelivaru Haa is more suitable for advanced divers due to its depth and underwater topography. As such, Nitrox is highly recommended for longer bottom time.Divers can expect encounters with grey reef sharks, a large school of batfish, and thrilling hunting scenes with dogtooth tunas and giant trevallies. Conveniently, the site is located approximately 15 minutes from Royal Island.
Nestled off the western edge of Dharavandhoo Island in the Maldives, a narrow submerged reef extends northward. With a top reef at 6-8 meters and a dramatic wall descending to depths of 35+ meters on the western side, divers encounter a stunning landscape adorned with abundant coral growth and occasional overhangs. The eastern side presents a gradual sand slope, contrasting the rugged features of the west. At the reef’s northern tip and along the western side, large coral blocks host black coral trees, gorgonian fan corals, and sponges, creating a vibrant underwater oasis. During the season, Manta Rays frequent the dive site, offering divers the chance to witness these majestic creatures alongside groupers, pipe fishes, and green turtles.
Dhigu Thila is a dive site located in the Baa Atoll of the Maldives. The peak of the reef reaches 8 meters, and its southern side transitions into a wall with overhangs at depths ranging from 20 to 30 meters. The reef is home to a diverse array of marine life, including gorgonian fan corals, sponges, and black coral trees, which thrive along the wall and within the overhangs.
During the season, divers may encounter whale sharks and manta rays at Dhigu Thila, adding to the excitement of the dive. Divers typically begin their dive on the up-current side of the site and drift along the wall, pausing in the overhangs to regulate their drift. Despite medium to strong currents, the reef, spanning nearly 150 meters in length, offers an exhilarating underwater adventure for divers exploring its depths.

The Basic Freediver course serves as a foundational segment within the broader Freediver course. It is designed to impart fundamental principles, breath-hold techniques, and optimal body positioning in a controlled pool or confined water environment.
Skills & Perspectives
The academic segment involves self-paced study through Freediver eLearning, complemented by hands-on training in confined water.
To enroll, participants must meet the minimum age requirement of 12 years.

Freediver
Course
Learn the art of freediving with our comprehensive course designed to master breath-hold techniques, encompassing static and dynamic apnea in confined water. Our aim is to help you achieve a 90-second static apnea and cover a distance of 25 meters using dynamic apnea. You’ll also delve into free immersion and constant weight freedives in open water, striving to reach a depth of 10 meters. Throughout the course, you’ll learn essential buddy procedures for safe diving practices. Participants will have the flexibility to engage in independent study through eLearning or class sessions.
To enroll, participants must be at least 15 years old.

Manta Snorkelling
Hanifaru-Bay & Raa Atoll
Royal Island is located within the protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and just a quick 25-minute trip away is Hanifaru Bay – famous worldwide as one of the best spots to see mantas. From May to November, special environmental conditions attract large numbers of plankton, which in turn draw manta rays and whale sharks from all over the Maldives. Watching these magnificent creatures feed near the surface is an unforgettable experience, especially if you’re snorkeling!

Diving isn't allowed in Hanifaru Bay due to its protected status, but snorkeling is permitted. The dive center will take bookings for Manta Snorkeling trips during the season, which can be made a day in advance. The site is regulated by rangers from Hanifaru Bay, and the dive center will organize guided snorkeling trips during the season.
